Hey all!
So I'm not dead (woo), though I sort of feel like it. I spent the last couple days speedrunning through art fight attacks, as the last two months of my life have been VERY busy with work. Like, really busy. I nanny during the summer so all of my time was spent hanging out with my wee one. We had so many adventures, and I might divulge the details of them later.
My art fight final stats this year came to: twenty attacks total, five of those being friendly fire, four defenses, and a total of one thousand three hundred and thirty six points (and a quarter). Ten of those attacks I somehow managed to finish in the last twenty hours before the event closed. basically I locked in and did nothing but draw for about ten hours straight, slept, and then locked back in for the last two hours. I am so tired :'D
Switching gears, I do have an idea for a new page on my site! I have watched a LOT of movies this summer (25+) and I have decided that it would be fun to have a little area where I can put movie reviews of movies I've seen! Because I have so many thoughts on some of these movies and really want to talk about them! I think the first one I would like to talk about is the Backrooms, because that movie was AMAZING and I want to gush about the camera work and practicals so badly.
I also saw Supergirl with one of my bffs, and it was so good! I sobbed through most of that movie. It was so good! I actually went in costume, and now I'm really excited to dress up for the next movie we go to! I need to acquire one tshirt before we go to see it. I would make it myself if I could find the materials, maybe I'll see if I can scrounge them up. I prefer to DIY or thrift whenever I can, it's more fun (and way less expensive). It's that Spiderman heart tshirt that MJ wears in the comics, and I need to locate some sort of white tshirt to use as a base there. Probs either gonna paint it myself, or I'm going to get the shirt from the kid's aisle at Walmart if I'm truly that desperate. For some unknown reason, both that and a standard Superman logo can only be found in the kids aisle. This is stupid in my opinion, but I also won't complain about the price being lower than if I found an adult size. (Source, the kid's double XL shirt is $7.99 compared to $14.95 in the adult aisle.) It's all but the same shirt! Honestly I might be sour because I remember when the adult tshirts cost $8, and I don't really want to spend more than that much money on a tshirt, no matter how much I know I'm going to wear it.
...
Yeah, I think I'm going to make the shirt myself.
ANYHOO! I really need to settle in to writing for a little bit, I have an actual deadline for two manuscripts, so I kinda need to get myself to work. Maybe if I lock in the same way that I locked into ArtFight, I'll be able to get the first draft done. Frankly, I just have to abide by the rule of "make it exist first, make it clean later".
I will return soon!
Bye all!
